• 4–6 Medjool dates, pitted and sliced

• 1–2 tsp honey (to taste)

• Optional toppings: chopped nuts, seeds, extra cinnamon, fresh mint

Method

1. In a saucepan, add the oats, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.

2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

3. Reduce the heat and cook for 5–8 minutes, stirring until thick, creamy, and soft.

4. While the porridge cooks, warm the sliced dates in a small pan with a splash of water for 1–2 minutes until soft and glossy.
